About Hilmar

Home to the famous Hilmar Cheese Company, this small community began as a colony of Swedish immigrants in 1917. The Hilmar Cheese Company has approximately 700 employees in its Hilmar plant and has been in business since 1984.

Hilmar offers it's residents the services of it's Hilmar Unified School District.
